It feels good to get up early by choice. Well, kinda by choice.
I rolled over and found my phone on the nightstand. It was 5:14 am.
By my best estimate the freshly arrived Robin had been heralding dawn for about a half hour.
That would make it since 4:45 am that I lay here in a waking state.

I associate birdsong with being in a waking state.
It never made sense to me to put singing birds in ‘relax to go to sleep’ music.
I strongly contemplated hitting the white noise machine.
But it struck me as wrong to drown out a singing bird with mechanized artificial noise.

This was going to be a shifting point for me.
I had actually gotten enough sleep. It was time to let go of the insomnia program altogether.
I slept great. I had enough. I could get up and not feel I was lacking for any reason.
In fact realizing that my sweet spring robin, who thinks he is a rooster, has taken up residence,
this was going to be a regular occurrence and I had better learn to go with the flow.

This day has great promise.
Yesterday the flowering trees all popped open with brilliant flowers.
The air filled with fresh sweet fragrance.
And the sun shone with warm brilliance.
Today is showing the same idea of spring’s gentle but exhilarating nature.

With a promise of a cat nap somewhere in the warm sun, I too started my day.
There is much to do. So much promise at the beginning of a day.
It’s like a project that is waiting to take form and there are no limits.
It’s spring so no doubt planting more seeds will happen somewhere along the way.

My morning begins with the r****l of sacred water.
From the bathroom to the kitchen and later into the garden,
Water is involved with the day in every way.
I give my blessings to water as I fill the coffee pot, wash my hands and face, filling up the watering can.
Grateful for indoor plumbing, I recognize my conveniences and give gratitude to it all.

We have been in new energy since the eclipse.
I can feel it caress my mind and ask permission to come in.
There is no need for this emergence to be forced upon us.
How much of it do we want to engage with ? Can we accept it into our lives?
Like the bird’s song, sunshine and the flow of water, we can ignore it if we want.
But it makes much better sense to see the beauty of it and give it gratitude.

Walking in awareness with mindfulness about my participation in this unfoldment doesn’t need to be a test every time.
I have been tested without a doubt.
Today I accept and allow peace to flow.
