What is More Ideal than a Divine State? Answer: A Deeper Divine State
We’re probably not aware that what we call “ideals” or “principles” are actually the same as what I call “the divine qualities or states.”
What is your ideal? Freedom. Freedom is a divine state; free is a divine quality.
What’s yours? Prosperity. Abundance is a divine state; abundant, a divine quality.
Yours? Peace? Another divine state; peaceful, another divine quality.
What else is ideal than the Divine? What else is perfect than the Divine?
What is God like?
I don’t know.
But I do know that I feel more like what I imagine God to be the more I feel immersed in the divine qualities.
For instance, I experienced innocence and purity at Xenia, on Sept. 18, 2018. How reassuring that was. The troll under the bridge was once innocent and pure and continues to be so at essence. (1) Good news for sure!
What a great script! Old troll has epiphany under the bridge: We’re all innocent and pure.
Great script, but my own experience was not so deep as to justify it. On a scale of 1-10, where 10 is “total transformation of character based on intensity of spiritual experience” and 1 is “made no impression on me at all,” I’d say mine was about a 7. It was a peak experience – and an impressive one at the time – but not a lasting transformation.
In contrast, the heart opening was a lasting transformation, though not lasting in intensity. (2) In it I was immersed in a tsunami of love, with all my worries, hopes, and fears washed away with the current. (3) Being immersed in a state (drowned in love, swept away by bliss) is one indication of being in a divine state, rather than just a good feeling.
We have our own way of relating to our ideals and principles. Now I’m asking us to export that way and apply it to how we relate to the divine qualities – because they’re the same. What is more ideal than a divine state? Answer: A deeper divine state.
