The Source Within – a Journey Through Light, Silence, and the Essence of Being

Again and again I meet people who say they are spiritual, but not religious. They turn away from churches, dogmas, and authorities, and yet the same terms keep appearing: God, Jesus, ascended masters, higher beings. Only everything comes in a new form, a new language.

At some point, this led me to a very simple but deep question:
Does God exist at all—and if so, who or what is God?

My own worldview has changed greatly over the years. Not through books or sermons, but through many inner journeys in meditation. And what I experienced there does not really match the image of God that we usually imagine.

I did not see God as a figure, did not hear a voice, did not encounter an authority above everything. What I perceived instead was something far more fundamental.

The deeper I went into meditation, the more my perception changed. It felt as if I were connecting with everything that exists. And the stronger this connection became, the more everything turned into light. Not only around me—I myself felt like light.

The states became brighter and brighter, quieter and quieter. Thoughts almost completely disappeared. What remained was a feeling of calm, of safety, of something that one might call happiness—but even that word does not truly capture it. It was light, peaceful, and completely free of inner pressure.

With time, I approached a state that is almost impossible to describe. It felt as if I were moving toward a vast ocean of light. Whiter than white, yet not blinding. Still. Wide. Infinite.

It did not feel like a place, but more like a state—a fundamental layer of being. There were no thoughts, no distinction between good and evil, right or wrong. Only silence and a love that was completely unconditional.

But the closer I came to this state, the stronger another feeling appeared: fear. The fear of dissolving completely. As if a drop were falling into the ocean and ceasing to be a drop of its own.

I do not know whether this dissolution would truly have happened. But my whole being sensed a boundary there and became afraid to go further.

Before reaching this state, there is another phase—one in which you feel connected with the entire universe. It is hard to describe, but it feels as though every thought is answered instantly. Not with words, but with images, with a sudden understanding.

It is as if you gain access to a vast field of knowledge. You ask an inner question—about the origin of the world, about separation, about development—and suddenly scenes, connections, and insights appear. Not like a film, but more like a direct knowing.

In this state, a deep sense arises that everything is connected. That there is a single source from which everything has emerged. And that every soul is like a small spark of light from this source, setting out on a journey to experience.

In my inner visions, creation appeared like a system of nested layers. At the very top—or deep within, depending on how you see it—there is a kind of primordial source, like a primal sun. From there, energy flows through all levels.

From it arise suns, galaxies, systems, and planets. Everything like bubbles in a greater field. Even the sun did not seem like a lifeless celestial body, but more like a living being or a carrier of consciousness. As if entire civilizations or forms of awareness existed there, peacefully connected with one another.

In contrast, the surface of the Earth appeared like a dark, dense region. Almost as if light could hardly reach it. Matter felt solid, cold, and separate.

Yet when you look inward, into the heart, there is still a small core of light. A spark. And through this spark, the connection can be restored—to the Earth, to the sun, and to the source itself. As this spark grows stronger, the human being begins to glow from within, like a firefly in the darkness.

Gradually, a picture formed for me:
The source is like a primordial sun. It permeates everything. It is present in every flower, every stone, every human being. Even the densest matter still carries this original energy within it. It is only hidden, cooled, and slowed down.

In this view, there is no God outside of us, no authority judging us, no savior coming from the outside. The creative power lies within every single soul.

Every individual carries the possibility of reconnecting with the source. And the stronger this connection becomes, the greater the possibilities become. Because the source itself is limitless.

Creation, as it felt to me, is far from complete. What is possible goes far beyond what we can currently understand. Perhaps we are only at the very beginning of creation, from a cosmic perspective. And perhaps we ourselves are a kind of explorers of creation—beings who entered the darkness to experience it, and who are now slowly moving back into the light. In doing so, we contribute, consciously or unconsciously, an infinite part to the unfolding of cosmic creation and understanding.

If I had to reduce all these experiences to a single sentence, it would be this:

Do not search for the Creator outside.
Find the source within yourself.

The place within you is the heart, and the key is gratitude.
Guides may be Mother Earth, Jesus, or other beings of light.

For perhaps God is not a being watching over us—
but the state from which we have all emerged.
