Finding Harmony in a Divided World: Lessons on Unity Consciousness
In a world that often feels fractured by differing opinions and constant debate, many of us find ourselves wondering how we can ever truly bridge the gap between “us” and “them.” Whether it’s in our personal lives or on a global scale, the sense of division can feel overwhelming. However, a recent and profound message shared by Rob Loveland, channeling the presence known as Sanat Kumara (Raj), offers a refreshing and grounded perspective on how we can return to a state of peace and collective harmony—what many call Unity Consciousness.
The message begins with a beautiful, simple reminder of where our focus should lie: in the present moment and the purity of connection. Rob describes the simple joy of holding his sleeping granddaughter, a moment of deep contentment and wonder. Raj points out that this feeling—the innocence, the love, and the uncomplicated nature of a child—is actually the blueprint for how we should approach one another. Life, at its core, doesn’t need to be more complicated than that pure sense of shared existence. When we tap into that “childlike” wonder, we are tapping into our most authentic selves.
One of the most common misconceptions about “Unity Consciousness” is the idea that everyone must think, act, or believe the same way. Raj clarifies that this couldn’t be further from the truth. We are designed to be unique expressions of the same source energy. Just as a garden is more beautiful because of its variety, humanity is enriched by its different perspectives and life walks. Unity does not mean uniformity; rather, it means honoring and respecting our differences while recognizing that, underneath it all, we are made of the same essence.
The real barrier to unity is often our fixation on being “right.” We tend to build mental constructs that categorize people into boxes, creating a “partisanship” that goes far beyond just politics—it’s an internal habit of separating ourselves from others based on superficial beliefs. The message suggests a humbling thought: in the grand scheme of things, our human understandings are often limited. If we accept that our individual perspectives are just temporary glimpses of a much larger reality, the need to argue or “win” an exchange begins to fade away.
So, how do we begin to bridge these gaps in our daily lives? The answer lies in the practice of “being love.” Instead of focusing on the friction of disagreement, we are encouraged to focus on the common spark that connects us. By blessing those who think differently and viewing diversity as a gift rather than a threat, we start to dissolve the mental barriers we’ve built. The differences we see between us are often just thoughts in our own minds; the love we feel for one another is the only thing that is truly real.
Ultimately, achieving unity across the planet starts with a personal choice. It begins with the daily remembrance of that feeling of wonder and love we see in a child’s eyes. As we let go of the need to divide and instead embrace the beautiful variety of the human experience, we find that the “bridge” to others was there all along. By choosing to see the “one” in the “many,” we can begin to live in a world defined by harmony rather than conflict.

Sanat Kumara (Raj) on Unity Consciousness
By Rob Loveland
Rob: So, I’m just getting settled and trying to call in Sanat Kumara. Okay, Raj, I guess it’s over to you for whatever you would like to discuss today.
Sanat Kumara (Raj): Greetings, one and all. It’s my pleasure to join you today. You all seem to be in a playful mood. This is so valuable in these days. Hold to that.
And you, Rob, in particular, are feeling such a deep sense of contentment. Yes, of course, it helps to watch that beautiful granddaughter of yours. Even today, just sitting with her, allowing her to nap [while] laying on your chest. Life need not be more complicated than that.
Just allow yourself to feel that at all times — the love and the wonder of a small child. The innocence, the purity, it evokes within you, that same feeling. This is all that’s required, nothing more complicated than that.
And you keep coming back to these thoughts of, “How are we going to achieve the sense of unity consciousness across the planet of all peoples, [because] everything seems so divided?” If it is divided, that is through your choice. Unity consciousness starts with just believing that you are, in fact, all one. You all come from the same source.
It doesn’t matter what people do, what people say, what they believe. You’re all from the same source, the same energy. You are, in fact, all one.
Does that mean you all have to think alike, believe the same, act the same? Of course not. Mother-Father-One do not want that. All of you are here as a unique expression of that one energy, and it should be that varied. But all of you, as you participate in this life, should honor that, should respect that, that you will, in fact, all have different beliefs, different thoughts, different ways of approaching life.
If you disagree with someone, what does that matter? At the end of the day, there’s no such thing as right or wrong, for in reality, when you all come down to the basic understanding of what life really is — this life on this planet — that you will find that all of you are wrong to some degree. So what does it matter if someone else thinks differently than you?
There’s such a fixation on partisanship — and I don’t mean political parties. I mean anything that divides you, one person against another, one people against another. It’s all rather meaningless, for you all come from the same source, so anything that divides you, makes you think that you are in some way different from another, is simply your own construct, your own belief system, separating you from another.
So again, from the perspective of unity consciousness, come back to the understanding, to the belief, to the knowing, that you are all one. You all come from the same source, and therefore any differences of opinion or thought processes or beliefs about what is right or wrong are only temporary [and] all very superficial, none of which should be overridden by the fact that you are, in fact, one, as we all are.
Just remind yourself every single day of the feelings that are invoked by holding your granddaughter, that feeling of love, of wonder, of hope. That is how you bridge the differences, bridge the gaps between you, for they don’t really exist.
Again, they are simply constructs within your own mind. Let that go. Focus on the only thing that truly matters, that you are love. Be that love in all things. Bless those around you who may think differently and be thankful for the experience, the diversity of the experiences that all of that difference in thought brings to you.
You were wondering about how we get to the point of unity consciousness, let this be the start. Focus on that for a time and see what comes of it.
With that, I will step aside.
Thank you so much for this opportunity to join you today. I look forward to that.
As always, go with my blessings and my love. Farewell.
