How to Be an Enricher of Hearts: Finding Restorative Peace in a World of Conflict

In a world that often feels dominated by noise, division, and constant drama, finding a sense of true inner peace can feel like an uphill battle. Daily, we are bombarded by stories of conflict, misunderstanding, and individual struggles playing out on the global stage. Yet, beneath this surface-level commotion lies a profound invitation to experience life from a much deeper, more compassionate perspective. Inspired by the timeless wisdom of spiritual teachings, particularly the gentle reminders found in the Heavenletters philosophy, we are invited to step away from the chaotic distractions of the outer world and become active whisperers of peace—or, as the teaching beautifully coins it, to become an “enricher of hearts.”

To embark on this path, we must first change how we perceive the events unfolding around us. By shifting our focus from outer conflict to inner alignment, we can learn how to heal our relationships, transcend our judgments, and cultivate a sanctuary of love within our own lives.

Much of what we witness in our daily interactions and in the wider world can be understood as a projection. If we view the world as a massive theater, the conflicts, arguments, and struggles we see are simply actors playing out their inner turmoil on the screen of life. Often, when individuals act in disruptive or hurtful ways, they are crying out for recognition and validation. Their actions, though sometimes misguided, are essentially pleas to be seen, heard, and acknowledged. They are trying to make their mark on a world they feel has overlooked them.

When we realize that difficult behaviors are frequently cries for attention from aching hearts, our perspective shifts from anger to empathy. Instead of getting swept up in the drama or reacting with immediate defense, we can choose to observe these situations with a quiet, understanding heart. We begin to see that the outer world is a reflection of inner states, and the best way to heal the outer screen is to address the quiet reality within.

It is incredibly easy to fall into the trap of taking sides, launching causes, and demanding rigid justice. However, many movements born out of a desire for justice are actually fueled by a deeper sense of grievance, which can inadvertently perpetuate division. True harmony is rarely achieved through judgment, because judgment always requires someone to be wrong. Instead of striving for a standoff where one side wins and the other loses, we are encouraged to aim for a genuine meeting of hearts.

The real antidote to division is not a court of law, but the simple, transformative power of friendship. When we decide that our primary platform in life is friendship and mutual respect, we disarm the quiet hostilities that keep us apart. We begin to understand that our thoughts are often the only real obstacles standing between us and others. By choosing to let go of defensive thoughts and quick offenses, we create a safe space where healing can naturally occur.

A profound truth of human psychology and spiritual wisdom is that unhappy hearts do unhappy things. When someone lashes out or causes distress to those around them, it is almost always a reflection of their own internal discomfort and lack of peace. In their confusion, they may believe that causing pain to others will somehow balance their own internal scales or ease their suffering.

When we ask ourselves how someone could act so unkindly, the deeper spiritual response is to wonder how they could do such a thing to themselves. Hurting another is ultimately an act of self-harm, as it further separates the individual from the source of love and unity. Recognizing this allows us to move away from condemnation. Condemning someone only adds to the heavy weight of isolation they are already feeling. By responding with quiet compassion instead, we interrupt the cycle of hurt and introduce a healing influence into the situation.

Many traditional views of the divine paint a picture of a watchful judge keeping score, ready to hand down retribution. However, a higher spiritual understanding reveals that the source of all existence is rooted entirely in boundless love, peace, and expansion. True spiritual power does not seek vengeance or keep track of debts; it only seeks to lift up, expand, and bless.

When we align ourselves with this expansive energy, we cease trying to “even things out” through retaliation or resentment. We stop demanding payment for past hurts and instead choose to give freely of our kindness. By embracing this larger, more generous view of life, we step into our own greatness. We realize that our purpose is not to diminish others or protect our egos, but to radiate goodwill to every corner of the universe.

To be an enricher of hearts means to actively choose love as our primary response to the world. It requires us to rise above the impulse to retaliate and instead offer comfort to those who are hurting. When we encounter someone who is struggling, defensive, or projecting their pain onto us, we have a unique opportunity to balance their suffering with our quiet understanding.

Practically, this means practicing the art of silent blessing. We can send thoughts of peace to those who distress us, wishing them relief from the inner turmoils that drive their actions. We can listen more deeply, judge less quickly, and remain generous with our patience. By choosing to counter negativity with love, we perform a quiet service that helps melt away the barriers keeping hearts apart. Ultimately, this gentle approach not only heals those around us, but it also expands and enriches our own hearts, bringing us closer to a state of lasting, genuine peace.

God said:

The core of life is My existence, and not what is portrayed on the screen of life. On the screen of life the conflagration of minds at war with themselves acts itself out. The names of their acts are drama and tragedy. They are crying for attention, and they will be noticed. “See me!” they are saying. “See how you have denied me!” they are saying. “See how I make you notice me!”

And they are schoolchildren who carve their name on a desk. They make their mark. They sear their name across the sky of life.

They think they have great cause, but they are causeless. Do not make a big thing out of a cause. A cause is another name for a cry of injustice. Just is judgment. Judgment is not honorable. A cause is a battle-cry, no more than that.

There is no enemy but thought. Thoughts are your enemy. An enemy is created by thought. You have called him to you. Be a friend. Let your platform be friendship. Justice is not enough. Friendship is better. Friendship of the heart. Friendship of intention.

Aim for a meeting of hearts rather than a stand-off.

Understanding goes a long way.

Do not be quick to take insult.

“How can someone do this to me!” you cry out.

How can someone do this to himself, I murmur. How can one of My children hurt another child of Mine who is none other than himself.

He knows not what he does is a statement of truth, for one would not do what he does if he but saw what it was. An act of terror is a last resort when nothing needs to be resorted to. Unhappy hearts do unhappy things. Something has become lopsided.

I seldom speak of prayer. Today I speak of prayer. I ask you to pray for one another. Pray for your own heart that you will bless another with My love. Bestow blessings upon those who need it more than you.

“Vengeance be Mine, sayeth the Lord,” I am quoted as saying. I did not say it. I was misquoted. No God would say that. I would say, Righteousness is Mine. Love is Mine. I, Who have everything, ask for nothing but that My children have peace.

Vengeance is small. I am not a God of smallness. I am a God of Truth. Truth is much larger than vengeance. I am not a Flattener. I do not even things out. I do not keep things as they are. I expand, not contract. I expend, not ask for payment. Only love avenges.

I ask you for greatness.

I ask you to layer your love out to the universe. Let your love cross the world to hearts that crave and ask for your love. Give love from your heart to another’s.

Do not make more drama. Make peace. Make peace in your heart.

Cry out if you must. Cry for the injured, and cry for the injurer, for he has wasted his heart on exacting something that only can be given.

Be a giver of love in the silent recesses of your heart. Expand your heart so it reaches the nethermost corner of hearts that ache. That is My prayer, that hearts will melt into one another’s.

Be not a condemner. Condemnation is too small. Rise above your own thoughts.

Be an enricher of hearts. Some hearts are staggering in their pain. They thought you inflicted their pain. They thought they were being fair in exacting pain from you. Now you will rise above their pain. You will not equal it and say they caused you it. Balance those hearts with your love. Give love to the suffering. Retaliate with love. For My sake.
