Core Spiritual Beliefs: The Whys and Wherefores, Ins and Outs

A long time ago, if someone had asked me what my core spiritual beliefs were – and this was prior to my vision of the purpose of life in 1987 – (1) I’d have said that my core belief was that the one thing there was to do in life was to discriminate between the Real and the unreal, detach from the unreal, and devote ourselves to the Real.

And that distillation of Sri Ramakrishna’s teachings has always remained with me, as a core belief.

And then in 1987, as I was driving to work, my life was interrupted by a vision of the purpose of life. It was as if I were given a lecture on why we would want to discriminate between the Real and the unreal, etc.

My car disappeared and I was staring at a visual model of the workings of life.

I was shown the entire life journey of an individual soul from God to God. As I discovered when I emerged, time stood still.

Originally I said it was not an enlightenment experience, but I’ve changed my mind over the years. I was drenched in bliss and bliss is, as Michael says, “between eight and nine” dimensions. (2)

One could not have been drenched in so much bliss and the experience not be considered a stage of enlightenment. I’d guess fourth-chakra opening onto the 8th/9th dimension. (Just as my earlier heart opening was 4th chakra opening onto the 7th dimension.) (3)

It depicted the journey of a single soul, from God to God. I recognized two enlightenments in that journey (4)  – one that had the soul leave the physical realm of matter (mater, Mother) and the second when the golden star flew back to the Father and disappeared.

As if to clinch the deal, an inner voice then said to me, “The purpose of life is Enlightenment.” And the vision disappeared.

I can now add a sentence or two to that description and say that the One desired to know itself. (I’ve been asked not to capitalize.) (5) But it can’t because it’s everything. Who or what is there to know when you’re everything that is.

So the One took its aspect as the Mother, whose essence is love and movement, and created this world. The world is a school of experience, in which the maturing soul comes to know itself in successive moments of enlightenment.

Well, you can see the Company of Heaven using me to illustrate that. I’m mounting the staircase to heaven, one step at a time – and publicly.

Each time the soul realizes who it is, God meets God. Mission fulfilled. And it was for this mission, this meeting that all of this was created.

My vision ended when the small golden star merged with the large Golden Sun. But in reality, the Mother has told me, (6)  we re-emerge from that “final” union with the One as well. Stay tuned for that one.

This vision completely explained to me the relevance and context of their earlier teaching that the ideal spiritual practice is discriminating between the Real and the unreal, detaching oneself from the unreal, and devoting oneself to the Real.

I now see the whys and wherefores, ins and outs.

I’ve always regretted that I didn’t ask Michael what he meant by “between” the 8th and 9th! It must be the same as “both eighth and ninth” or mentioning both would make no sense.

(4) The two enlightenments would be (A) the first, equivalent to our Ascension, known as Sahaja Nirvikalpa Samadhi (our natural state) and Vijnana (perfected wisdom) to Hindus, Buddhahood to Buddhists, and Redemption, Resurrection, and Salvation to Christians and (B) the second, Reunion with Mother/Father One, presumed until now to be the end of the road (it’s not).

Steve: You’ve just referred to mergence have you not, or union?  And you’re saying that after they return in union, they go back out into the world. Is that correct?

Divine Mother: Yes. If they so choose, yes. Now, is it in the timeline that human beings tend to think of? No. But eventually there is re-emergence.
