There are two tests I know of to determine whether one is experiencing higher-dimensional love or everyday love. (1)

One is: If I don’t get what I want, do I get angry? In other words, do the circumstances impact my feeling of love or does my experience of love transcend the circumstances?

Transformative love transforms my view of the situation rather than being impacted by it. I now see what were “problems” at my everyday level as simply “situations” and I’m OK whatever win/win agreement is reached. My love is like a cushion between me and the circumstances.

A second test is one you’ll be familiar with, from my writings. Is it happening “inside” of me or am I swept up and immersed in it?

A feeling happens inside us. My heart aches. I feel dizzy. I hang my head in shame.

But a divine state is something we’re immersed in, swept away by. Bliss lifts me up and what I then see, at that higher level, becomes the “Realization” I’m dazzled by when I return to everyday consciousness.

I’ve had so many spiritual experiences which were not transformative because they lacked bliss. In one, I watched the kundalini flow past my eyes, while I lay there, like a river of gold, and empty into the 7th Chakra. But there was no bliss! (2)

Or another experience in which I saw the Light, the Self in the bottom of the heart, the seat of the soul – and the Light was not bright! (3) It was luminous. Eeeek!

In both cases I asked Michael or the Mother, what gives? And they replied, we want you to stay right where you are.  And that suits me fine. I’m a homebody.

This lifetime is not about enlightenment for me; it’s about service. (4) The latter ends up in the former. All sincere actions do, I believe.

So those are two tests that should establish whether what we’re experiencing is higher-dimensional, transformative, transfigurative love or we’re just having a good day.

Where we’re headed, everyone will know full well what I’m talking about at some point in time. “Oh, THIS is what Steve was talking about.” So I say to you now for the future: “YES!!!!”

(3) Steve: The experience at Xenia [of the Self], Mother, was that truncated?

Divine Mother: Slightly, yes.

Steve: I had the thought [it was]. … The Light I saw should have been brighter than a thousand suns. The fact that it wasn’t suggests to me that the experience was truncated.  …

DM: It was not is brilliant as possible, let us put it that way.

Steve: Alright… And again, the reason is to keep me in sync with my readers?

DM: To keep you in sync with your readers. But let me be very clear…. If you had seen the light as it actually is – yes, a million, billion suns – you would have simply departed. …

We don’t mean die but you would have departed the life that you have designed – yes, with us – for yourself, for the service you are providing – you would have departed and simply said, ‘I do not need to do this.
