Embracing Oneness: A New Perspective on Your Relationship with the Divine

In our daily lives, we often approach the concept of the Divine with a transactional mindset. We look for guidance, peace, or solutions to our problems, essentially treating the Source as a benefactor—someone to provide for our needs. However, a profound shift in perspective, inspired by recent insights from the Heavenletters, invites us to redefine this relationship. Instead of constantly asking for help, what if we started viewing ourselves as the gracious host and the Divine as our most cherished guest?

The invitation here is to move away from the role of the “beggar” and step into the role of the “benefactor.” When we realize that we can serve the Divine through our own willingness, our entire outlook changes. This isn’t about grand gestures; it is about the quiet, internal decision to be open, to acknowledge the presence of the Sacred within us, and to “roll out the red carpet” in our hearts. By shifting our focus from what we can “take” to what we can “give,” we align ourselves with a higher frequency of love and service.

Many of us have subconsciously tucked this truth away in the “attic” or “basement” of our minds, perhaps unsure of how to integrate it into our modern, busy lives. The message reminds us that the Divine is not a stranger; it is a companion we have known forever. The feeling of loneliness or separation is merely a veil we have placed over our own eyes. To “re-meet” this presence is to realize that we have never truly been apart. The act of remembering is, in itself, a form of healing that straightens the back and restores the heart.

Practicing this presence doesn’t require complex r*****s. It starts with a simple, forthright willingness to acknowledge the Divine in every moment. When we choose to stand as a “sentry” for our own inner peace, we become an emblem of the truth. We stop waiting for signs and start realizing that we are the ones who carry the light. By greeting each day as an opportunity to be a gracious host to the Infinite, we transition from living in lack to living in the abundance of Oneness.

Ultimately, this is a call to friendship. We are invited to shake hands with the Divine and recognize our shared nature. As we nurture this relationship for its own sake—making the Divine “happy” through our authenticity and presence—we discover that the service we provide to the Sacred is, in reality, the most profound service we can provide to ourselves. When you welcome the Divine, you aren’t just inviting in a guest; you are welcoming home the very essence of who you are.

God said:

Welcome Me, and you will welcome the rest of the world. Be the host who welcomes Me as a guest and not as a benefactor. I am a Benefactor, but I am more than that. Welcome Me not solely as someone who assists you, but welcome Me as someone you assist. You can further Me along. You can be My benefactor. You can be the server of Me.

You can roll out the red carpet for Me.

Instead of expecting grants from Me, grant Me you. Grant Me your willingness. Grant Me a favor. Your willingness is the favor you grant Me.

Favor Me. Be open to Me. Consider that I am the Guest you have been waiting for. Consider that you have a welcome mat out front for Me that says, “Welcome, God!” Consider that you have a flag out front for Me that waves My name vertically in the breeze. The color of the flag is gold as the Sun beams on it by day. By night the God flag is silver as the Moon shines its light on it. Or cast Me any color you like.

Announce Me to yourself.

Wake up to Me.

I have sent you many signs announcing My arrival.

I am a Guest you have harbored in your attic, or perhaps in your basement. You haven’t quite known what to do with Me or Who I was. Perhaps you thought I was a poor relative or a beggar in the night. But I know who you are. I know where I am and whom I am with. I know I am with you. I ask you to be with Me.

Be with Me squarely, not obliquely.

Be forthright with Me.

Be My guard. Be My sentry. Be My watch who guards My presence.

Enough of your being the thief who waits for Me in the dark to steal a wish! No longer are you to be the beggar who comes to Me with his hand open. No longer are you to see yourself as one who needs. Now see yourself as one who gives.

Now see yourself as one whose hand is out to bestow. A handshake with Me will do. Let’s shake hands on it. We are compadres. We are kin. We are old friends, and We are getting reacquainted. You have known Me for a long time, which means forever, and Our mutual knowing continues forever. We have met and We meet again. We re-meet. Our meeting is sweet. Every time We meet it is as if for the first time. It is like that because there is no time. We have met once and We have never parted. Only you let Me out of your view. You were blinded. You blinded yourself.

You are walking with Me, and you hold My hand, and you think you walk alone. You believe in loneliness but not in Oneness. You departed from your recognition of Me, but you cannot depart from Me.

Welcoming Me to your door is remembering that I am here with you. The willingness to remember is good enough. The willingness is already remembering. It is a leaning towards Me Who leans towards you.

It is not that you brace yourself against Me. It is that you stand tall with Me. Our eyes connect and Our love holds Us in place. Our love straightens your back and heals your heart. Remembering Me is the healing of your heart.

But remember Me for My sake. Make Me happy. Make Me your emblem, and be an emblem of Me. Be the truth of yourself, which is the same as to say the truth of Me.
